David McCraw is Vice President and Assistant General Counsel of The New York Times Company, where he is responsible for litigation and for providing legal counsel to the newsrooms of The Times, The Boston Globe, The International Herald Tribune, and the company's other 15 newspapers as well as its websites. He has been at The Times since 2002. He previously served as Deputy General Counsel of The New York Daily News and a litigation associate at Clifford Chance and Rogers & Wells. He has lectured on U.S. press law in various countries in the Middle East, South America, and Eastern Europe.
