The purpose of this organization is to provide a meeting place for law students who are interested in pursuing legal careers that serve, advise, and advocate for family law matters. This organization will have resources available to assist in connecting students with legal professionals who work in several fields of law related to family law, including but not limited to, domestic violence, divorce and marriage, and the child's best interests. There may also be possible opportunities for information on alternative dispute resolution services like mediation and arbitration. This organization will also encourage members to participate in volunteer opportunities in the community. Finally, the Family Law Society will host workshops, seminars, discussions, social events, and panels open to all MSU College of Law students.
