Program Costs
Pathway Scholars Program

The Pathway Scholars Program (PSP) is provided to Scholars free of charge. As a PSP Scholar, you will receive complimentary on-campus housing and will have most of your meals covered for the duration of the program. You will also receive a stipend of a $1,000 for your successful completion of the program, as well as a complimentary LSAC LawHub – LSAT Prep Plus© subscription service.

Program Costs and Materials

All PSP programming, including any mandatory excursions, will be provided at no cost to the Scholars. All books or course packets required for classroom work will also be provided free of charge.

Meals and Housing

During the program, scholars will live in a Michigan State University residence hall. Owen Hall has single rooms, with suite-style bathrooms, weekly housekeeping, TV lounge, and meeting space. Rooms will be furnished with a bed (complete with linens and pillow), a desk and chair, a bookcase or hutch, and other basic amenities. All guest rooms will include high-speed wireless/wired internet and digital cable television connections.

Program Fellows will live in the residence hall with you during the program. They will serve as a resource for you during your time in residence and will also be responsible for enforcing University Housing and PSP program policies.

Scholars will receive complimentary meal service from campus housing during the program.

Travel

Scholars are responsible for travel to Michigan State University’s campus. All students must check-in with program staff on June 2, 2025. Scholars must move out of the residence hall on Friday, June 27, 2025.

Where possible, we recommend against bringing a vehicle to campus. Parking on campus is limited and costly. However, if your circumstances require that you bring a vehicle to campus, please let us know at pathways@law.msu.edu as soon as possible, so that we can provide you with information on parking applications and fees. Parking expenses will not be paid for or reimbursed by the program.

Program Stipend

All PSP Scholars will receive a $1,000 stipend upon successful completion of the program. To remain eligible for the stipend, Scholars must attend all required classes and events, complete all assignments, and comply with all relevant campus and program policies.
