MSU Law Moot Court Team Excels In a Crowded Field of 35

The MSU Moot Court Team competed in the Billings, Exum, & Frye National Moot Court Competition in Greensboro, North Carolina, placing in the top four out of 35 teams. Fierce competitors, the team of 3Ls Claire Montgomery, Julia Moran, and Sharon Sanders showed their exceptional legal prowess by advancing to the semi-finals during the October 19-21 competition.

In addition to finishing in the top four, team member, Julia Moran, earned Second Place as Oralist overall. The team was coached by MSU Law Professor Philip Pucillo, whose primary area of scholarly interest is civil litigation in the Federal courts. Professor Pucillo remarked how great the team performed during the competition. “This team was ready to battle and their excellence showed in their impressive presentations throughout the competition.”

The competition was hosted by Elon University School of Law. The Billings, Exum, & Frye National Moot Court Competition marked its 14th year, having launched in 2011.
