Michigan State University College of Law has been awarded $150,000 in Graduate Office Fellowships (GOF) funds in the current academic year to support student success.

MSU Law will use these funds to support third-year students preparing to take a bar examination. 3L students who have paid for a bar examination application fee during the 2022-23 academic year may apply for the funds.

“Students now have additional resources to put towards studying for the bar exam,” said Veronica McNally, Senior Assistant Dean for Student Experience at MSU Law. “Hopefully this takes some burden and stress off of them to help them to the next point in their careers.”

MSU Law will award funds to students on a first-come, first-served basis. Support will be limited to the actual examination fee for first-time takers for one bar examination. It will not cover additional fees (e.g., computer fees, NCBE report fees, etc.) or late filing deadline fees. 3L students may complete the application online.

“This is a great opportunity for those of our students who are able to take advantage of this opportunity,” said Goldie Pritchard, Assistant Dean of the Academic Success Program.
