Foundations Week Just Around the Corner

July 25, 2023

Foundations Week kicks off the start of the academic year at Michigan State University College of Law. This annual week celebrates the incoming law students and affords them an opportunity to connect with faculty, staff, and peers through activities and classes. Scheduled for August 15-18, Foundations Week gives new students a chance to acclimate to the beautiful MSU Campus and Law College building, demystifies legal education, and opens the door to the legal profession. New law students finish Foundations Week with shared experiences and a road map to achieve academic and professional success, as well as a network of friends and lawyer leaders.

This year’s weeklong event is filled with introductory foundation of law and legal writing classes and a first-hand look at how the courts, legal service providers, and community organizations ensure equal Access to Justice. Students will be warmly welcomed on the first day by MSU Law Dean Linda Greene. She will greet students and share with them the great opportunities that await them during Foundations Week and beyond.
