Two MSU Law students receive scholarships from Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Foundation

Two MSU Law students received $3,500 each in scholarships from The Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Foundation for their leadership and community service.

Jennifer Anton, ’23

Jennifer Anton, ’23, and Estella Park Riahi, ’24, were among 12 recipients of the 2022 WLAM Foundation Award for Outstanding Law Students.

Anton, a Jean Ledwith King Scholar, is president of the American Civil Liberties Union student organization and an active advocate for human rights. She spent summer 2022 as an intern at Legal Aid of West Michigan working on landlord-tenant law. During summer 2021, Anton interned at the Illinois Human Rights Commission. She plans to participate in MSU Law’s Housing Justice Clinic this academic year and continue working in legal aid after graduation.

Estella Park Riahi
Estella Park Riahi, ’24

Riahi, a Dobrusin Law Firm Scholar, developed a passion for helping immigrant business owners after working in Koreatown outside of San Diego in her family’s Korean clothing business prior to law school. She spent summer 2022 clerking at a boutique law firm assisting immersing herself in intellectual property related to startups and new business law. She plans to join the First Amendment Law Clinic this academic year.
