Professor Harokopus has been teaching legal writing and advocacy since 2021. She also has taught Civil Procedure, Discovery Drafting and Summary Judgment Practice. Before teaching, Professor Harokopus was a litigator in her own solo employment law practice, representing plaintiffs and small employers. She has also worked as a litigator in-house for Rent-A-Center and J.C. Penney Co., Inc., where she was responsible for litigating cases across the United States. During her tenure at Rent-A-Center, she worked on an arbitration case that prevailed before the U.S. Supreme Court. She also litigated the first Proposition 65 lawsuit to be tried in California. Professor Harokopus has extensive trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts as well as arbitral and administrative forums.
