Information for Graduates & Guests

Congratulations Class of 2021!

This page includes information for those graduates and their guests who plan to attend the in-person ceremony on Friday, May 14, 2021.

Who is Allowed Entrance into the Ceremony:

Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 JD graduates who RSVPd via GradPak before the posted deadline will be allowed entrance to the ceremony.

Additionally, each of those graduates are permitted two guests to attend (guests are limited to two humans, including infants). Graduates who RSVPd within deadline were emailed instructions on how to add guests to a guest-list. Guests’ names must be on that list to be allowed entrance.

What this Outdoor Ceremony will Be Like:

Similar to previous years, we will be able to celebrate the class by presenting awards, allowing a keynote speaker to address the class, and perhaps most memorably, each graduate will be able to hear their name called as they walk across stage to commemorate the completion of law school.

When and Where will the Ceremony Be Held:

The outdoor ceremony will take place on Friday, May 14 at 11:00 a.m., outside of the Breslin Center in the parking lot.

Graduate and guest check-in will begin 45 minutes prior to the ceremony start time (no earlier than 10:15 a.m.).

 COVID-19 Policies:

  • All graduates and guests must complete a health screening form at least two hours before arriving on campus.
  • Everyone must wear face coverings at all times, indoors and outdoors, when on MSU’s campus and in the downtown East Lansing area. Those without a mask will not be permitted to attend the graduation ceremony.
