From research assistance to comfortable study space and printing services, MSU Law library offers an array of support services to help students succeed. Below is a summary of just some of the services available.

Research Assistance: Friendly and knowledgeable librarians available to help you with legal research as you study, cite-check, extern and write seminar papers. In person and virtual support available. We’re here to help.

Study Space: The Schaefer Law library provides quiet, comfortable study space with ample seating and multiple group study options. The Computer Lab on the 2nd floor is newly remodeled and equipped with upgraded computers, featuring extra-wide monitors, new comfortable furniture, standing desks, and free networked printing.

Review Aids and Course Reserves: The library provides print and electronic access to a variety of popular review aids such as CALI, Examples & Explanations, Gilbert Law Summaries, Emanuel Law Outlines, Sum & Substance Exam Pro Series, and more. The print reserve collection has textbooks, Bluebooks and other helpful materials.

Library Web Page Services: Go to www.law.msu.edu/library to find quick links to Westlaw, Lexis and other legal databases. The site also links subject specific research guides developed by the Schaefer Law Librarians, as well links to reserving a study room and emailing the Reference Desk.

Printing & Copying: Large capacity printers for all your printing needs and free printing is available using your Papercut account.

Inter-Library Loan: Students can request materials from the Main Library, as well as libraries across the nation and around the world.
