Social Media and Blogging For Professional Development

Lawyer Kevin O’Keefe, CEO and founder of LexBlog, will lead a program from noon to 2 p.m. on January 30 at the Michigan State University College of Law on using social media and blogging for professional development.

Kevin O'KeefeO’Keefe, in his blog “Real Lawyers Have Blogs,” called MSU Law “one of the more innovative law schools in the country” for encouraging its students to use social media as a professional development and relationship building tool.

The program begins at noon with lunch and informal networking. Beginning at 12:30 p.m., select law students who have entered the @MSULawCSO Social Media Contest (#MSULawSM) will present their campaigns to O’Keefe, who will offer advice to the contestants and audience. O’Keefe will also take questions from the audience and provide tips and insights for best practices when using LinkedIn, Twitter, and other social media.
