MSU Law Students Take Top Awards at National Hispanic Bar Association Competition
Michigan State University College of Law 2Ls Jeanette Lugo and Kean Zimmerman had an impressive showing at the Hispanic National Bar Association’s 19th Annual Uvaldo Herrera National Moot Court Competition.
Lugo and Zimmerman—the first team ever to represent Michigan State Law at this national competition—won the Best Petitioner Brief award and individually tied for Best Oral Advocate. A total of 34 teams participated in the event.
This year’s competition was held at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida, from March 19–21, 2014. Professor Tiffani Darden and several other MSU Law professors helped the team prepare for the event.
