Journal of Business and Securities Law to Host Inaugural Symposium

East Lansing, MI — The Michigan State University College of Law Journal of Business & Securities Law will host a symposium titled “Off Wall Street: Pre-IPO Investing and the Future of Private Placement Trading” on Friday, February 15, 2013. The event marks the journal’s first symposium since achieving official status at the Law College in 2009.

“Off Wall Street” will focus on private placement trading and the latest trends and legislation affecting the practice. Participants will raise awareness of and cover topics such as the private placement market, Regulation D, the JOBS Act, and drafting and litigating private placement offerings.

“This event will discuss the business and legal considerations surrounding private equity placements and provide valuable information for businesses and attorneys,” said Justin Fisher-Short, executive editor of the Journal of Business & Securities Law.
