MSU Law Presents Webinar on Career Options for Attorneys

East Lansing, MI — The Michigan State University College of Law Office of Admissions will hold an informative webinar on “Career Options and Market Outlook for Attorneys” on Monday, November 7.

The online event will provide helpful information for prospective law students, prelaw advisors, and anyone interested in learning more about career options for attorneys. Topics will include fundamental skills involved with legal careers, career paths of law school graduates, hiring and compensation data and trends, and the importance of assessing the financial aspects of law school.

The keynote presenter will be James G. Leipold, executive director of the National Association for Law Placement (NALP), a nonprofit educational association that is dedicated to continuously improving career counseling and planning; recruitment and retention; and the professional development of law students, lawyers, and its members. Donna Gerson, a nationally recognized career consultant and the author of numerous books and articles on legal career issues, also will present.

The webinar, which will be held from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. (EST), will include a 45-minute presentation and a 15-minute question-and-answer segment. There is no cost to attend, but early registration is encouraged. To register, visit www.law.msu.edu/admissions/events.html.
