MSU-DCL Hosts Swearing-In Ceremony

East Lansing, Michigan. Michigan State University-DCL College of Law will host its first swearing-in ceremony for successful Michigan Bar examinees on Wednesday, November 13 at 6 p.m. in the Clif and Carolyn Haley Moot Court Room of the Law College Building. The ceremony is open to MSU-DCL graduates and Michigan residents who have passed the Michigan Bar Examination. A reception on the 4th floor of the Law College Building will follow.

Chief Justice Maura Corrigan of the Michigan Supreme Court will administer the oath. Justice Corrigan was elected to the Michigan Supreme Court in November 1998 and was elected Chief Justice in January 2001. She graduated magna cum laude from Marygrove College and cum laude from the University of Detroit Law School in 1973. She has participated in numerous community and professional activities, including her service as a public member for the Michigan Law Revision Commission and as executive board member of the Michigan Judges Association. Justice Corrigan holds honorary doctorates of law from Northern Michigan University and the University of Detroit-Mercy.

MSU-DCL is located at Bogue and Shaw Lane on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing. Founded in 1891, the college is accredited by the American Bar Association and is a member of the American Association of Law Schools.
