The Innovation Hub

The Innovation Hub teaches students the substantive law and the practice skills necessary to advise clients in a technology-driven economy. In recognition that clients of all shapes and sizes increasingly deliver services and products that involve the use of technology, the Innovation Hub trains students to think like technology product lawyers—learning how to understand a client's product or service at the very technical level and to see how even the oldest of laws can still apply to those services and products. Even the most traditional lawyers in today's technology-driven economy must learn that technology design trade-offs impact regulatory, legal, and overall business risk, and must be able to account for that impact in the advice they give to clients. The Innovation Hub provides the substantive knowledge and the opportunity to build the requisite skills experiences to train students to be technology-savvy product counselors and litigators.
