  • Biography

    Jared Roberts was an Adjunct Professor with the MSU Law RWA program from the winter semester of 2002 through the spring semester of 2012. During law school Professor Roberts was on Law Review, the Moot Court Executive Board, was a King Scholar, and was an extern with the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and with Legal Aid of Central Michigan. He is published in the areas of First Amendment law, employment discrimination law, and various statutory and constitutional issues in real property, zoning and land use. Professor Roberts was a law clerk and later an associate at the Lansing, Michigan law firm of Loomis, Ewert, Parsley, Davis & Gotting, P.C. from 1998 to 2002. He is currently a partner at the Martindale-Hubbell AV rated Lansing, Michigan law firm of McClelland & Anderson, LLP, where he has been since 2002.

    Professor Roberts’ practice concentrates on civil litigation, dispute resolution and trial practice in the areas of commercial and contract law, real property law, construction and building disputes, and commercial transactions of various sorts. Professor Roberts also counsels entertainers, sports related firms, real estate brokerages, trade groups and others on business issues, transactions, copyrights and other intellectual property matters including trademarks, internet issues, cybersquatting and branding. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Ingham County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, the ABA Advisory panel, and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan Litigation and Arts, Communications, Entertainment and Sports Law sections. Professor Roberts is Martindale-Hubbell rated as a commercial litigator and is admitted to practice before all Michigan courts, and the United States District Courts and Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. He has also appeared pro hoc vice in the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Florida, the Central District of California, the Northern District of Georgia and District of New Jersey.
