Laura Savarese is an Assistant Professor of Law at Michigan State University College of Law. She is a legal historian who studies the evolving substantive law, procedures, and institutions that shape families’ relationships to the state.
Prior to joining the Law College faculty, Professor Savarese was a Golieb Fellow at NYU School of Law. She received her B.A. from Harvard College and her J.D. from Yale Law School, and is a Ph.D. candidate in the Yale Department of History. She also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Rowan D. Wilson of the New York Court of Appeals, and was a summer associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York.
