Harshitha Ram is an International Disputes Attorney, Arbitrator, and Mediator. She is the Founder of Lex Apotheke, offering legal and dispute resolution services. She has a successful global practice in commercial, consumer, information technology, construction, labor, and employment matters. Ram holds an LL.M in Dispute Resolution from the University of South Wales, UK where she was nominated to the Dean’s list and the first recipient of the ‘Corbett Spurin Memorial Prize’ for outstanding achievement in Dispute Resolution Laws. She acquired a Fellowship from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) as one of its youngest fellows in early 2010. In 2014 she became the youngest appointed Arbitrator at the ICC International Court of Arbitration, France. She also held the position of District Manager at the World Mediation Organization, in Germany.

Ram serves on several national and international arbitration panels including the commercial and consumer panels of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), the railroad, and airline panels of the National Mediation Board, Washington DC, arbitration and mediation panels of the Asian International Arbitration Center, Malaysia. She serves as a panelist at the Professional Resolution Experts of Michigan (PREMi), an invitation-only group of Michigan’s top ADR professionals. Besides being the Chair of the Michigan Dispute Resolution Journal Initiative (Diversity & Inclusion Action Team), State Bar of Michigan, she hosts the ‘fireside chat’ segment of the journal.

She is multi-lingual and has written several articles, presented at various conferences, and conducted numerous sessions on arbitration and mediation for universities, law schools, arbitration institutions, and private organizations internationally. Ram is frequently invited as a guest speaker, lecturer & ADR trainer by Universities and ADR service providers in the UK, USA, Europe, and Asia. Ram represents clients in the capacity of both counsel and neutral. She lived and practiced in three countries including, India, the UK, and the USA. She is a globe-trotter and has traveled to over 20 countries for work and pleasure. Having extensive experience in international & domestic arbitration, mediation, pre-contentious negotiations, risk management, and avoidance; Ram currently leads a global program on the accreditation of ADR professionals.
