  • Biography

    Scott Golde is senior vice president and enterprise chief compliance officer for Jackson Financial Inc., the publicly traded holding company for Jackson’s insurance, broker-dealer and investment advisory entities. He also serves as a deputy general counsel and leads the insurance legal and product drafting/filing teams supporting Jackson’s manufacture and distribution of insurance and annuity products. Scott joined Jackson in 2016. His prior roles at Jackson included providing legal and compliance support to the company’s independent broker-dealer subsidiaries, leading the litigation and investigations team and serving as the deputy general counsel for insurance matters.

    Scott is a former federal prosecutor who has served in multiple leadership roles within legal and compliance during his 23+ year career in financial services, government and private practice. Before joining Jackson, Scott was general counsel of Scottrade, Inc., where he oversaw all legal matters impacting the firm’s brokerage and investment advisory businesses. Prior to his work at Scottrade, he led insurance/annuity and mutual fund compliance for Edward Jones, was a law firm partner with a regulatory practice and served within the Department of Justice as an assistant U.S. Attorney prosecuting criminal matters. Prior to attending law school, he was a legislative aide and district director for a U.S. congressman.

    Scott holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a juris doctorate from the Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri. He has also obtained the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Series 7, 9, 10, 24 and 66 (lapsed) registrations.
