Wes Margeson choose Michigan State primarily for the intellectual property program. “It is head and shoulders above all the other law schools I looked at,” he said.

Relearning study habits after several years away from school was a challenge for Wes, so he found the Academic Success Program invaluable. Wes was also glad to find out he wasn’t alone in his struggles. “I wish I'd known there would be other old guys here,” he said. “It’s good to know I'm not the only one who took a nontraditional route.”

Wes has two dogs at home, one of which is a St. Bernard. “I spend my time away from school making sure they are happy so that when I come home my shoes, furniture, and walls are all intact,” he joked.
