“My participation on the Moot Court Trial Board has given me confidence in my oral advocacy skills.”

Paul Robertson chose MSU College of Law because when he visited campus, everyone he encountered made it clear that they wanted him to attend the university. “The faculty was inviting, and the current students provided me with an olive branch,” he said.

Paul received a JD and an MBA through the joint JD/MBA program. “The law school specializes in creating new opportunities in the legal community,” he said, “and this program provides me with the diverse skill set I need to accomplish my career goals.”

He also found that the Academic Success Program helped him perform in the classroom, which lead to opportunities outside of the classroom. “My intense writing sessions with Goldie have strengthened my legal skills and made me a well-rounded advocate,” Paul said.

Paul also honed his legal skills through moot court. “My participation on the Moot Court Trial Board has given me confidence in my oral advocacy skills. Coming into law school I had a strong interest in litigation. The board gives me the opportunity to develop my talents and compete against my peers,” he said.

“Coming to MSU Law has been a life-changing experience,” Paul said. “MSU Law provides a great education, and a unique atmosphere enriched with Midwestern hospitality.”
