"The webinar clarified what the personal statement should accomplish. It was extremely helpful.”

Gallant Fish hopes to practice human rights law, specifically in the area of human trafficking. “Informed by both my educational background, which focused on many of the social problems facing the world and my faith background, I plan on attending law school in order to equip myself to better address these social problems,” he said.

Gallant prepared for law school with help from his undergraduate academic advisor. “He helped me with the decision to attend law school and through suggestions of possible majors that could prepare me for law school,” Gallant said. To research law schools, he used online resources including U.S. News & World Reports' list of top ranked law schools.

Gallant also attended the MSU College of Law’s webinar on writing a personal statement. “The webinar clarified what the personal statement should accomplish,” he said. “It was extremely helpful.”
