“From journals to award-winning Alternative Dispute Resolution competition teams, there is something for everyone to get involved in.”

Jessica Saddler knew she wanted to pursue a rigorous legal education in an environment that fostered her growth not only as a law student, but also as an individual. She found that at MSU College of Law. “The holistic focus on education, well-being, and personal interests at this school was a perfect match for what I was looking for in a law school,” she said.

“Besides offering a very strong curriculum, MSU Law provides opportunities for students to partake in a multitude of activities and explore their interests,” Jessica said. “From journals to award-winning Alternative Dispute Resolution competition teams, there is something for everyone to get involved in.”

As a first year law student, Jessica turned to the Academic Success Program for tips and strategies. “ASP put on very helpful workshops that enabled me to navigate my first year of law school. From how to make an outline to how to write an essay exam, the workshops were very practical and useful,” she said.

Jessica also found that the MSU Law librarians were willing to help with any research or study needs she had. “When I was working as a research assistant for Professor Pager last summer, Brent Domann helped me track down some obscure research that I had difficulty finding. He took the time to work with me and make sure that I understand how to replicate the research route that he helped me find,” she said.
