Welcome to MSU College of Law

Students in Classroom

Welcome to the Michigan State University College of Law, a dynamic school with a proud reputation for excellence.

Integration and collaboration are hallmarks of an MSU College of Law education. As one of the nation’s few private, financially independent law schools affiliated with a major research university, MSU Law offers an interdisciplinary legal education with all the benefits of a big ten research university combined with the personal attention of a small school. This unique educational model connects theory with practice and allows students the opportunity to gain academic knowledge along with hands-on experience.

The faculty and staff strive to ensure that all students are provided the tools to succeed in the legal environment. Students learn from high-quality and experienced faculty drawn from the ranks of established and accomplished attorneys, widely respected scholars, and the most promising newly credentialed faculty candidates.

The Law College makes its home on the beautiful MSU campus set in the heart of East Lansing—the arts, cultural and recreational center of mid-Michigan. Everything students need for their studies is located in one building. Our modern, state-of-the-art facility offers wireless technology throughout its classrooms, library, courtroom, study areas and administrative offices.

We invite you to browse through our website to discover how the MSU College of Law’s curriculum and facilities provide students with a rich and rewarding legal education.
