Class Recording Policy
Please provide as much advance notice as possible. With less than two business days notice, we may have scheduling or equipment conflicts and may not be able to record the class.
E-mail request to helpdesk@law.msu.edu or use the on-line request form.
If the class time is outside of normal business hours or starts during but ends after business hours, Technology Services may not be able to set up and run the equipment. In these cases arrangements will be made with the faculty member or a designee to make the equipment available and provide training on how to use it.
Services
The Technology Services Department will record (audio and/or video) classes only at the request of the faculty member and for the following purposes:
- Make-up classes - a class held at other than the regularly scheduled time, when not every student is able to attend
- Faculty review - for the purpose of reviewing the faculty member’s in-class performance, when requested by the faculty member or a member of his or her tenure advisory committee
- Student presentations - recording of a student presentation in class; the faculty member or a designee is required to run the equipment
