Lori E. Talsky, ’96

Lori E. Talsky graduated summa cum laude from MSU College of Law, in 1996. She has recently retired from the firm of Maddin, Hauser, Wartell, Roth & Heller where she practiced family and matrimonial law, litigation, and real estate law. She has an extensive working knowledge of the Canadian legal system and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the American Bar Association.

Talsky and her husband, Alan S. Zekelman, provided the gift that established and sustains the Talsky Center and Zekelman Professorship at MSU Law. The donation supports the couple’s goals of improving life outcomes for all people but especially women and children who suffer—or are at risk of suffering—human rights violations. It also honors Professor Susan H. Bitensky, one of Talsky’s professors at the Law College, for her impact in the classroom and dedication to international human rights law.
