The purpose of the Public Interest Law Society (PILS) shall be:
1. To foster a community of students who are interested in pursuing a wide variety of public interest-related careers,
2. To promote the value of public service in the practice of law,
3. To serve as a forum for information-sharing between other public interest-related student organizations,
4. To create funds for the Public Interest Fellowship, which offers a stipend to a student pursuing a career in public interest law.
