East Lansing, Michigan. The Student Bar Association (SBA) at Michigan State University-DCL College of Law is seeking community support for its Barrister's Charity Ball to be held on Saturday, February 22 from 6 p.m. - 2 a.m. at the Sheraton Lansing Hotel. The ball will raise funds for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Ingham County, an organization that trains community volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in the court system. Reginald M. Turner, president of the State Bar of Michigan, will present the keynote speech.

Traditionally, the SBA has held an annual ball for the law college's students, faculty and staff. This year is the first time in college history that the ball will be expanded to support a charitable organization and to include members of the community.

The SBA is asking community organizations and members to purchase sponsorships from $35 to $5,000. Sponsors will receive tickets, advertising and other recognition based on their contributions. Those interested should contact the SBA office at 517/432-6934.

MSU-DCL is located at Bogue and Shaw Lane on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing. Founded in 1891, the college is accredited by the American Bar Association and is a member of the American Association of Law Schools.
