Students are expected to make their own air travel arrangements. Booking airfare early may help lower costs; the Office of Financial Aid can work with students to facilitate this. Also, it may be worthwhile to check student travel sites as they often offer discounted airfare.
Students are responsible for ensuring proper travel documentation, including a valid passport.
The U.S. Department of State issues current travel warnings and alerts on its website (http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis_pa_tw_1168.html). Travel warnings are rare for the United Kingdom. Students will receive updates from the MSU Office of Study Abroad once they pay the $100 medical insurance and evacuation fee.
