Admissions Requirements

For Law students (J.D. or LL.M.) to be eligible to participate in the Program the student must have completed one year of full- or part-time law study by May 15, 2024, and must be in good academic standing at an ABA-approved law school or an approved Canadian law school that will accept credit from a U.S. study abroad program.

For other graduate students to be eligible to participate in the Program the student must have completed at least one semester of full-or part time study by May 15, 2024, and must be in good academic standing at a fully accredited University and the student’s program must be willing to accept credit from the study abroad program.

All applicants from schools other than MSU must furnish a letter from the appropriate official at their home institution certifying that they are in good academic standing. Additionally, all applicants from schools other than MSU must furnish a  transcript (the transcript may be in electronic form if submitted directly by a registrar's office). Admissions are on a rolling basis, beginning Nov. 8, 2023.

Students with Disabilities

University facilities at Doshisha University and housing at the Seedin are accessible to students with disabilities, and Kyoto Public Transit is generally accessible for individuals with disabilities.
