Michael Roberts is the founding Executive Director of the Resnick Program for Food Law and Policy at UCLA School of Law. He is well versed in a broad range of legal and policy issues from farm to fork in local, national, and global food supply systems. He is a prolific author, having contributed to books and having written several articles on food regulation, trade, and policy issues. Mr. Roberts serves as a Deputy Director of the FDA Research Center at East China University of Science and Technology in Shanghai, China where he lectures each year at the university’s law school. He has worked extensively in Asia on various projects on food law and policy. He also serves on the advisory board for the World Food Law Institute and is an expert panelist for Oxford.

    This online course provides students with an overview of the systems of food regulation practiced in Asia, including some of the cultural and social-economic factors which influence the regulation of food products in the specific region.
