  • Biography

    Elizabeth Goebel is an Adjunct Professor at Michigan State University teaching Research, Writing and Advocacy. She was formerly Associate Legal Counsel for the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Ms. Goebel also served as an associate attorney for Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids. Prior to teaching at Michigan State University's College of Law, Ms. Goebel was an Adjunct Instructor at Thomas M. Cooley Law School's Sixty Plus Elder Law Estate Planning Clinic.

    She received her J.D. with Distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law. While at Iowa she was a member of the Iowa Law Review and an Assistant Director of the Client Counseling Board. She received her MSc from the University of Edinburgh, UK and completed a dissertation focusing on the power of physician lobbies.

    Ms. Goebel is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and was previously admitted to both the Iowa and Minnesota Bars.
