Biography
Jared Roberts, a 1996 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Saginaw Valley State University, and a 1999 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Michigan State University-Detroit College of Law, has been an adjunct instructor with the DCL RWA program since the winter semester of 2002. During law school Mr. Roberts was on Law Review, the Moot Court Executive Board, was a member of the King Scholars program, and was an extern with Legal Aid of Central Michigan and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He is published in the areas of First Amendment law, employment discrimination law, and various statutory and constitutional issues in real property, zoning and land use. Mr. Roberts was a law clerk and later associate at the Lansing, Michigan law firm Loomis, Ewert, Parsley, Davis & Gotting, P.C. from 1998 to 2002. He is currently an associate at the Lansing, Michigan law firm McClelland & Anderson, LLP. Mr. Roberts' practice concentrates on civil litigation and dispute resolution in the areas of commercial and contract law, employment law, real property law and land use. Mr. Roberts also counsels various entertainers on business, copyright and intellectual property matters. He is on the Board of Directors for the Ingham County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan Arts, Communications, Entertainment and Sports Law section. Mr. Roberts is sworn in to practice before all Michigan Courts, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan.
