Location
The 2024 Summer Intellectual Property and Cyberlaw Institute will be held from May 22 to June 9 at the University of Rijeka’s Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality. The Program’s co-sponsor is the University of Rijeka. We expect enrollment of approximately 20 to 40 students—from the United States and Croatia.
The historic seaside town of Rijeka is near the wine region of Istria and the magnificent islands of the northern Adriatic; and Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage site long recognized as one of world’s most beautiful and historic cities.
Classes and housing will be in the Hapsburg riviera of Opatija. This beachside location offers beautiful resorts in a historic setting. Visits can be arranged to Venice; Slovenia; and to the nearby region of Istria, one of Europe’s leading producers of wine and truffles, which also boasts medieval and Renaissance towns, such as Rovinj and Porec.
