This webinar will offer a wide range of recommendations for writing a winning law school personal statement, including potential personal statement topics, steps to take when writing the first draft of your personal statement, and how to convey meaningful insights to law school faculty and staff who ultimately will act on the admissions application. In the 15-minute Q and A segment following the formal remarks, the presenter our expert presenter will respond to questions from webinar participants.

Our Expert Presenter

Our featured presenter is Karen Buttenbaum, a veteran law school admissions professional who was a voting member of the admissions committee at Harvard Law School for twelve years. In the course of her career at HLS, where she held almost every position on the senior staff of the Admissions Office - from assistant director to director - Ms. Buttenbaum read and made decisions on over 18,000 applications for admission and interviewed more than 1,000 applicants for admission. Now as a partner with The Spivey Consulting Group she provides guidance and counsel to aspiring law students and other clients.
