“I knew I wanted to work in a corporate setting where I could utilize both my legal and business training. The JD/MBA at Michigan State opened up career opportunities that met that goal.”

Keith Voorheis chose MSU College of Law because he appreciates the value of a global brand. "Nearly half a million Spartans live and work across the globe. As a student at Michigan State University College of Law, you can connect with this alumni base to meet your career development goals," he said.

During his time at MSU College of Law, Keith developed great relationships with his professors. "I often leveraged their experience and insight with questions about course material and career development," he said. "In particular, Professor Bruce Bean played an important role in my success by acting as a mentor to guide me in my early career development.  My classmates were also an integral part of my success. They are lifelong friends and a network of professionals I lean on often.”

In addition to his experiences at the law college, Keith said pursuing MSU's joint JD/MBA was one of the best decisions he ever made. "I knew I wanted to work in a corporate setting where I could utilize both my legal and business training. The JD/MBA at Michigan State opened up career opportunities that met that goal," Keith said.

Keith spent two summers with Chevron and worked in their global procurement/supply chain group. In 2012, he worked in San Ramon, CA at the company’s headquarters, and he spent the summer of 2013 in Luanda, Angola with Chevron’s South African Strategic Business Unit. “Both experiences challenged me to apply the skills and knowledge I developed in the JD/MBA program," he said.
