“The Clinical programs at the Law College provide firsthand experience on what it takes to successfully manage numerous clients…The skills I developed have directly transferred over into my success handling clients in a large law firm.”

For Graham Boswell, the biggest strength of MSU College of Law is how easy it is to interact and spend time with professors. “Without them and their open door policy, it would have been a lot tougher to digest nuances of the law,” he said. “The Clinical programs at the Law College also provide firsthand experience as to what it takes to successfully manage numerous clients in the areas of tax law, corporate law, landlord-tenant law, and immigration law, to name a few. The skills I developed in the clinic have directly transferred over into my success handling clients in a large law firm.”

Graham suggests that current and prospective students actively engage in extracurricular activities. “The extracurricular activities at the Law College, from the journals to the Legal Clinics to the student organizations, all further your development as a successful future attorney through the hands-on approach,” he said. He added, “Many people enter law school with some reservations concerning if they have what it takes. Do not be afraid of law school. We all entered law school without much, if any, knowledge of the law. And, after attending MSU Law, you will leave knowing more about the law than you could have imagined.”
