“The strengths of MSU Law are the world-class professors at MSU Law, who are tirelessly dedicated to their students.”

As an attorney, Nathan Petrusak’s practice is focused in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, municipal law and defense, and the representation of creditors in Chapter 7, 13, and 11 bankruptcies. He is particularly thankful for being at a large firm.

“I have the opportunity to work alongside distinguished and dedicated attorneys and to practice law in the community where I was born and raised,” he said.

Nathan credits his success with the distinguished professors at MSU Law. “Without Professors Daphne O'Regan and Nancy Costello who taught me the art of legal writing, Professor Anne Lawton who taught me the ins and outs of the bankruptcy code, and Professor Craig Callen who simply taught me how to think critically, I would not be where I am today,” he said.

The Michigan State Law Review and Moot Court also were instrumental in his development as a professional. “The many journals and other activities provide unparalleled opportunities to hone one’s legal skills,” he explained.
