As the sole in-house counsel for Davisco Foods International, Amanda Matchett sees a variety of legal issues while ensuring the legal health of the business. It’s a challenge she enjoys.

“I review and negotiate contracts, facilitate work with outside counsel for litigation and intellectual property, and I advise the officers of the company on any and all risks,” she explained. “I have gained knowledge in a lot of practice areas. One day I may be working in employment law and the next I am working on government regulatory compliance.”

Matchett enjoyed her time working at the MSU Law Housing clinic. “I think that clinical experience is some of the most beneficial to the actual practice of law,” she said.
